Goal
Design a social space that channels rivalry into play instead of toxicity, keeping the heat of the terraces without the worst of the internet.
My role
I designed the mobile app end to end — onboarding, rivalry rooms, predictions, and the identity system that lets two fanbases share one product.
What I learned
Moderation is a design problem.
The tone of the rooms was set by defaults, prompts, and what the interface celebrated — long before any moderator touched a report queue.
Identity beats features.
Fans came for the banter and stayed because their allegiance was visible everywhere. The colour system did more for retention than any feature we shipped.
